Customer Return and Exchange Policy
Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing The Gutenberg Press Books. You may change your mind and return or exchange the item(s) you purchased, without providing a reason, and receive either a replacement product or a refund at your choice, subject to the following terms:
- Returns and exchanges are allowed within 14 days of purchase, subject to the conditions below.
- The product must have been purchased directly from The Gutenberg Press: at our office in Porto, at our authorized sales stands, via our website, by phone order, or through an authorized representative.
- For a return, the customer must deliver or send to The Gutenberg Press the original receipt provided at the time of purchase, together with the returned product.
- The product must be unused and returned in new condition, without any defect, packed as it was sold or received, in its original sealed packaging.
- Customers who wish to return or exchange an item must return the product to The Gutenberg Press’s office at 279 Ciríaco Cardoso Street, Porto, or alternatively send it by a courier service. Returns sent by CTT or by any shipping method that does not deliver the package to the office will not be accepted. The Gutenberg Press will not collect returns sent to pickup points, lockers, post office branches, or similar locations.
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- After The Gutenberg Press receives the returned product and subject to the above conditions, The Gutenberg Press will either replace the product or refund the purchase price.
Refunds will be processed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Law as follows:
- Purchase paid by single credit-card payment — refund to the same credit card used for the original charge.
- Purchase paid by credit-card instalments — refund to the same credit card in the same number of instalments as charged.
- Purchase paid by cheque — refund by cheque.
- Purchase paid by post-dated cheque — the customer’s post-dated cheque will be returned.
- Purchase paid in cash — refund by cheque.
Products purchased from another store, chain, or supplier must be returned directly to that seller in accordance with their return policy.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, returns and exchanges will not be accepted for items that were originally sold as “defective — Type B.”
